A moderately short neck does not have to look "stuffy," as the photo below illustrates. Three factors give style to the correct Scottie neck. First, the neck must not be TOO thick, like the dog below left. Second, the neck must taper slightly from the shoulders up to the head, creating a very slight arch to the back line of the neck.
